Big Facts Small Acts.

When COVID-19 hit Atlanta, it was no surprise that it affected Black and Brown communities the hardest. And we were tasked with finding ideas that brings a message that would speak to this audience other than an 80’s after school special. The idea needed to come within, from people and sources they could trust, that would rally them together to fight as a community. Chemistry + BFSA partnered with Atlanta muralists to ‘deface’ their work with masks. The murals served as daily, larger-than-life reminders while not coming off as technical, judgmental or preachy.

Efforts around the campaign also focused on the creation and distribution of social media content with daily reminders around how to #CoverOurCommunity. Chemistry also created, sold, and donated masks, in English and Spanish, on the harsh reality that continues to be perpetrated during the pandemic and time of civil and social injustice. Check out our work on social.
